James Dunn has designed and built solar-powered structures using solar panels and pure-sine-wave inverters that produce cleaner electricity than the grid. He designed rainwater harvesting and purification systems. In building, he emphasized efficient thermal management with passive solar gain, thermal mass and super-insulation of walls and ceiling. In waste management, he adopted four-stage composting.
